Trailer Round-Up – 2/1/15

Spy sneaks into US theaters May 22, 2015.  Directed by Paul Feig, it stars Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne, Peter Serafinowicz, Miranda Hart, Bobby Cannavale, Nia Long, Curtis Jackson, Morena Baccarin, and Allison Janney.

Official Synopsis: A politically-charged serial killer thriller set in 1953 Soviet Russia, CHILD 44 chronicles the crisis of conscience for secret police agent Leo Demidov (Tom Hardy), who loses status, power and home when he refuses to denounce his own wife, Raisa (Noomi Rapace), as a traitor. Exiled from Moscow to a grim provincial outpost, Leo and Raisa join forces with General Mikhail Nesterov (Gary Oldman) to track down a serial killer who preys on young boys. Their quest for justice threatens a system-wide cover-up enforced by Leo’s psychopathic rival Vasili (Joel Kinnaman), who insists “There is no crime in Paradise.”

Child 44 hits US theaters April 17, 2015. Directed by Daniel Espinosa, it stars Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Gary Oldman, Joel Kinnaman, Charles Dance, Jason Clarke, and Vincent Cassel.


Fantastic Four

Official Synopsis: THE FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

The Fantastic Four makes its way into US theaters August 7, 2015. Directed by Josh Trank, it stars, Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, Toby Kebbell, and Reg E. Cathey.


Knock Knock

Synopsis: A pair of femme fatales wreak havoc on the life of a happily married man.

Knock Knock is directed by Eli Roth, and stars Keanu Reeves, Lorenza Izzo, Ana de Armas, Ignacia Allamand, Aaron Burns, and Colleen Campl

Ted 2

Official Synopsis: Newlywed couple Ted (Seth MacFarlane) and Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth) want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, John (Mark Wahlberg) will have to prove his foul-mouthed teddy bear is a person in a court of law with the help of attorney Samantha (Amanda Seyfried).

Ted 2 will be in US theaters June 26, 2015. Directed by Seth MacFarlane, it stars Seth MacFarlane, Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Barth, Amanda Seyfried, and Morgan Freeman.
