Movie Quote of the Week – 10/16/15

Movie Quote of the Week bannerAnswer to MWL 10/14/15: Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi) – Dracula

Count Dracula: I am Dracula.
Renfield: Oh, it’s really good to see you. I don’t know what happened to the driver and my luggage and… Well, and with all this, I thought I was in the wrong place.
Count Dracula: I bid you welcome. [Wolves howl] Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make.

Thanks for everyone’s submissions and 500 points to the following people for answering correctly:

Carly (Carly Hearts Movies)
Jackie
Tim (Filmfunkel) (I have to give Tim an additional 500 points for giving pretty much the entire scene. Very impressive.)
Dr. Humpp (Dr. Humpp’s Curious Collection)
Cindy (Cindy Brachman)

  1. Man, I love these films. They were my introduction to movies in general.

Hey, on my Abountact page – https://filmfunkel.wordpress.com/abountact/ – I reference the first two movies I ever saw. They were both horror movies. I’ll give you 5,000 points of cine-cred if you can tell me their names: 50 points for one, but 5,000 points for both. *mwa ha ha*

    • … I don’t know without looking. 😦 It’s been a long time since I’ve read your abountact page, I just have the link saved. I’m a failure. *starts sobbing*

I want to say Alien is one of them but that is me being hopeful.

      • No no, I didn’t mean guessing from memory (you silly man). Please have a look, I put the link in my comment.

There’s not a lot to go on, hence the huge number of points. But the challenge – should you choose to accept it – is to guess both. Once again *mwa ha ha* (but this time I am twisting my evil mustache)

  2. All right – Mr Sexy-Guessing – you got one right. Unfortunately, it’s the 50 pointer.

“…ancient race of living, mythical creatures.” and “…man dead for thousands of years, come to life…” doesn’t apply to one of your guesses (shouldn’t be too hard to figure out which).

      • Don’t sweat it. It’s an obscure film, even if you are into horror movies. It’s also not all that great. It made a HUGE impression on me though; but I was pretty young.

It’s hilarious that there are things I accept about our existence to this very day because that film made a formative impact on how I perceive reality.

Don’t spend you 50 points in one place. 😀

  3. Well, I was gonna ask a couple horror movie buffs if they wanted a shot. It would defeat the fun if I posted the answers here…
