Hey there, dear readers!
Today I bring you a Tag! What is a Tag you ask? Well it is a series of questions that the blogger (moi) answers before tagging several more bloggers to answer themselves. This particular Tag was started by Richard over at The Humpo Show. Richard covers all kinds of topics on his blog, from film to music to books and noticed us film bloggers do not have many Tags of our own and took it upon himself to start one. With the introduction out of the way, here are my answers to the It’s a Wonderful Tag tag.
All I Want For Christmas is You | Which DVD/Blu-Ray would you like to receive this year?
I realized during a failed trip to a Legoland Discovery Center that I do not own The LEGO Movie. So that became very high on my Christmas List.
Jingle Bell Rock | Favorite soundtrack or song from a Christmas film?
“You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” from How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Let it Snow | 3 of your favorite Christmas films…
I have given my fave five Christmas films before but the TL;DR version is The Santa Clause, A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation.
Donald Trump | A film that divides opinion…
I’m going to cheat and give three: the Star Wars Prequel trilogy. I know that many people despised these films but I rather enjoyed them. I appreciated seeing the history of some of my favorite characters from the original trilogy, seeing the Star Wars universe fleshed out and how different the Old Republic was from the Empire. Could they have been better? Absolutely. I acknowledge their flaws and understand there is a lot of wrong done and failed potential, but I got enjoyment out of them. They may be far from perfect but I will defend them nonetheless.
Brexit | Favorite British Film…
Hot Fuzz
Fidel Castro | A film that divides opinion… A film considered culturally significant
Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope. It single-handedly changed story telling in science-fiction movies and film special effects.
Starbucks | Favorite Film Franchise…
I was thinking about saying the Marvel Cinematic Universe but I feel that one isn’t a franchise itself but more of a cluster of franchises. I don’t look at the Marvel comics as a series but a collection of series so I apply the same principle to their movie universe. Besides, there is only one film franchise that I could really pick here: the Star Wars saga.
McDonald’s Happy Meal | Favorite Childhood Film…
If you have followed this site for any length of time, you’ll probably know that two films share the place in my heart as the film of my childhood: Aladdin and Toy Story.
‘Cheeky Nandos’ | Favorite Comedy
The comedy genre might be my favorite film genre, so it is hard to choose just one but I’ll try and say Some Like It Hot.
One film you want all of your followers to watch…
Million Dollar Baby. Few films have left a lasting impression on me the way this one has. It actually was the film that first made me consider starting a movie blog.

All I Want For Christmas is You | Which DVD/Blu-Ray would you like to receive this year?
I put down The Clone Wars series 4-6 so I could complete my collection.
Jingle Bell Rock | Favorite soundtrack or song from a Christmas film?
I love the music from the Charlie Brown Christmas special.
Let it Snow | 3 of your favorite Christmas films…
Christmas Vacation, The Muppets Christmas Carol, and Elf
Donald Trump | A film that divides opinion…
Batman v. Superman; it wasn’t perfect, but I still enjoyed it. I also liked it better than Suicide Squad.
Brexit | Favorite British Film…
Hot Fuzz (such a funny film!)
Fidel Castro | A film considered culturally significant
I’m going to have to go with Star Wars as well. Has had such a huge impact on science fiction and special effects in film.
Starbucks | Favorite Film Franchise…
Star Wars is definitely my No. 1, and I’d put the Marvel Cinematic Universe next.
McDonald’s Happy Meal | Favorite Childhood Film…
Mulan and Aladdin. I think Aladdin was the very first film I saw in theaters as a kid!
‘Cheeky Nandos’ | Favorite Comedy
I’ll have to put Hot Fuzz for this one too! 🙂
One film you want all of your followers to watch…
I always try to recommend any of the films in Edgar Wright’s unofficial trilogy, Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz or The World’s End.
