Announcing the Christmas in July Blogathon 2018

Hello, friends!

As we inch closer towards the end of June, that means only one thing: Christmas in July is just around the corner! And as per the norm here at the DMR, we are going to celebrate in the best way we know how: with a blogathon.

For those of you who have been around for a while, you know the drill. If you are new here, to participate, just send me a Christmas-themed article as your entry. It can be a movie review, television special review, a list of some kind, or what have you, as long as it is something that relates to Christmas or the holiday season.  Please have your entries sent to me by Sunday, July 15th. If you feel like you need more time, please let me know. We can work something out.

To spice up the blogathon, I’m throwing a party full of everyone’s favorite celebrities. So as part of your blogathon submission, either in the email or part of your entry, include someone you would like to invite to the party, particularly someone you would like to meet under the mistletoe. For example, I would invite Emilia Clarke and maybe some of you would invite Chris Pratt.

One thing I have always enjoyed about hosting this blogathon is the variety of posts people submit. If you want to see last year’s guest list or need some inspiration of what to do, check out last year’s summary. To let me know you are participating, leave a comment or send me an email at drewt510@gmail.com. Then send your entry to that email address by July 15th.  I can’t wait to see your entries!

Until next time, cheers!

  1. Hi, I would like to participate with the review of an animation by Robert Zemeckis “A Christmas Carol” (2009) with Jim Carrey. I will email to you my review by 15th. Thanks. I am Diana at dbmoviesblog.wordpress.com. I also would like to post my review on 15th on my own blog, if it is ok.

    • Hey! You can absolutely review Jim Carey’s 2009 A Christmas Carol. I usually prefer that if someone wants to post their entry on their site that it be done after it has been posted on my site for the blogathon. If you’d like, I can schedule yours as one of the first ones posted, that way you can still have plenty of time left in July to post it on your site. How does that work for you?

      • I have now realised that I am also participating in the Winter in July Blogathon, which takes place over the same weekend as yours. I will try to send in my entry, but because I have may not. That’s a shame. That’s a great idea you have for a blogathon, and even if I could not sent my entry, I will surely participate in the forthcoming ones.

        • 😦 Thanks for letting me know. I host the Christmas in July blogathon every year and I also co-host the Ultimate Decades blogathon around February/March. So there is plenty for you to join in on if you can. 🙂
