Trailer Round-Up – 3/8/15

This week gave us the biggest trailer of the past few weeks: the final trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron!  It was much more character driven than the previous trailers and sheds some light onto the origins of Ultron.  May 1st cannot get here fast enough.  I’m afraid that I may be getting my expectations too high, but with Joss Whedon at the helm and based on what I’ve seen and read so far, I don’t think I will leave the theater disappointed.  Anyway, about the rest of this TRU, Sherlock Holmes solves one last case, Ben Kingsley tries to live forever, Owen Wilson just wants him and his family to live, and John Travolta must perform one last heist so his family lives.  To jump to a specific trailer, click on it’s link below.

  1. Out of all of these it’s still Ultron by far, but I’m super curious about No Escape for a couple of reasons. 1) Owen Wilson in an action movie?! 2) Can Pierce Brosnan keep up with him in his twilight years? 3) It looks pretty brutally violent.

Good stuff all around man. I like the way The Forger looks too

    • I thought about adding a disclaimer along the lines of “Besides AoU, what are you excited about?” Because come on, it’s AoU! All good points about No escape. Owen Wilson was in Behind Enemy Lines but other than that I can’t think of any other action movie he has been in. The Forger trailer I just saw today and thought it looked interesting. I’m a little bummed Mr. Holmes is only being released in the UK but I’m hoping it finds its way to the US somehow.

      • I didn’t read that about the limited release of Mr. Holmes. That is a bit disappointing. And yeah, I totally forgot about Wilson in BEL, but that was some time ago. Nice to see him mixing it up again
